Today Terms of Use
Effective from: 9 October 2026
1. Who we are
The Today app is provided by Jakub Lisiak, sole trader, Tax ID (NIP): PL7292745761, postal address: ul. Traktorowa 63A/5, 91-111 Łódź, Poland, email: today.social.app@gmail.com ("we", "us").
This email address is also our point of contact for users and authorities under the EU Digital Services Act (DSA). We communicate in English and Polish.
2. What Today is
Today is an app for keeping one memory a day: a photo with a caption, inspired by the question of the day. Your memories make up your calendar. You can share them with others, follow other people, and like and comment on their memories.
Today is free to use. If paid features are added in the future, we will describe their terms before they become available.
3. Your account
- You must be at least 16 years old to create an account.
- Use a real email address and keep your password safe.
- One person may have one account. Your account is personal: don't share it with others and don't pretend to be someone else.
- Your username must not be misleading (e.g. pretending to be another person, a brand, or Today) or infringe anyone's rights.
The agreement to use Today starts when you create an account and lasts for an indefinite period.
4. Your content
- You keep the rights to the photos and text you add.
- By adding content, you give us a free, non-exclusive licence to store it and show it in the app, to the audience you choose (everyone, or "Only me"). The licence ends when you delete the content or your account (subject to the backups described in the Privacy Policy).
- You are responsible for the content you add. Only add photos you have the rights to, and don't publish images of other people against their will.
5. What is not allowed
On Today you must not post or do any of the following:
- illegal content,
- nudity and sexual content,
- harassment, threats, intimidation, or sharing other people's personal data,
- hate speech and discrimination,
- violence and graphic content,
- content that encourages self-harm or suicide,
- spam, scams, or advertising without our permission,
- content that infringes copyright or other rights of third parties,
- attempts to get around security, automated collection of data, or disrupting the app.
Content or behaviour that may harm children, or that involves children in a harmful way, is strictly forbidden and will be reported to the relevant authorities.
6. Reporting and blocking
- Every memory, comment and profile can be reported (the "⋯" menu, or press and hold a comment). Illegal content can also be reported by email to today.social.app@gmail.com.
- You can block a person. You will then no longer see each other's content in the app, and any follows between you are removed.
- Photos are checked automatically for nudity, adult content, violence and graphic content before other people see them. A photo recognised as breaking the rules will not be published. The tool can make mistakes: you can appeal such a block (see below).
- We review reports without undue delay. If content breaks these Terms or the law, we may remove it or limit its visibility, and in serious or repeated cases suspend or delete the account.
- If we restrict your content or account, we will tell you and explain why. You can appeal the decision by writing to today.social.app@gmail.com. Appeals are reviewed by a person.
7. Deleting your account
You can delete your account in the app at any time: Settings → Delete account. Deletion is immediate and cannot be undone. The Privacy Policy describes the details.
We may end the agreement and delete an account for important reasons (serious or repeated breaches of these Terms, legal requirements), and we will tell you and explain why. If we shut down the whole app, we will give at least 30 days' notice so that you can save your memories.
8. How the app works and liability
- We try to keep Today running smoothly and without errors, but interruptions can happen (e.g. maintenance, outages at our providers).
- We are not responsible for content added by other users, but we act on reports when we learn about a breach.
- Nothing in these Terms limits the rights you have as a consumer under the law.
9. Complaints
If something doesn't work as it should, write to today.social.app@gmail.com and describe the problem. We will reply within 14 days. If you use Today as a consumer, you can also use out-of-court ways of resolving disputes, such as a consumer ombudsman or consumer organisation in your country.
10. Changes to these Terms
We may change these Terms for important reasons (e.g. new features, changes in the law). We will let you know about changes in the app at least 14 days before they take effect. If you don't agree, you can delete your account during that time.
11. Final provisions
- These Terms are governed by Polish law. If you are a consumer living in another country, you keep the protection given to you by the law of your country.
- How we process personal data is described in the Privacy Policy.
